Update on materials in contact with drinking water @ ISH 2019

Harmonisation of materials and products in contact with drinking water in Europe - State of Play

In the European Union, requirements for materials in contact with drinking water are regulated by Article 10 of the EU Drinking Water Directive (Directive 98/83/EC).

This directive is currently being revised and, after strong efforts by industry and other stakeholders, could finally lead to a Europe-wide harmonization of the requirements for materials and products in contact with drinking water.

What is the current state of affairs? What are the industry's concrete proposals? And how will the process continue?

Dipl.-Ing. Volker Meyer, Chairman of European Drinking Water and Managing Director of figawa, will provide an overview and answers to these questions at the bsw-figawa joint stand in hall 5.1 at ISH 2019.
